Timeline of Events and Activities
This project was taught in the 7 stages of the Engineering Design Process. Under each link, is the stage and the activities that we did as a class (along with some awesome pictures!). Additionally, there are other possible activities that could be used for these stages.
Below is a timeline of how long it took me to do each stage of the Engineering Design Process (roughly). Many of the stages overlap each other, so to say that a certain amount of time was spent on each one individually was difficult. But roughly, this is about how long the students worked through the stages.
- Ask: Identify needs and constraints
- Research the problem
- Imagine: Develop possible solutions
- Plan: Select a promising solution
- Create: Build a prototype
- Test and Evaluate the Prototype
- Improve: Redesign as needed
